ATTENTION MINORITY GROUPS - IT'S TIME WE GOT RIGHTS!

I Know we fight for rights daily, as well as other minority groups in the United States of America “land of the free”. The only people I see who are completely “free” are heterosexual white men. They have easier times finding jobs (even if they have less experience or education), they get bigger raises (even if they don’t perform all duties required of there position), and most of all, they still treat homosexuals and women like we are 2nd class citizens.

I am a very strong advocate for equal rights. Whether you be male, female, in-between genders, gay, straight, bi-sexual, Transgender, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, African American, Arab, Hispanic, or any other minority group here in the United States. I want this blog to be a fun place, but I also want it to be an educational safe haven for all minority groups. If I ever see slang/offensive terminology used on this site via comments, emails, or otherwise will be removed and you may be blocked from returning to our site.

For so many decades, we have fought the Government for rights; only we have flied solo. Women’s groups march the streets for rights in May, Hispanics in June, Asians in July, Homosexuals in October. Why can’t we all stand together and say “hey, here’s a BIG OLE minority group you forgot all about." If we fight for each other, we will out number the Senators and Congressmen who oppose us, Show President Obama that we mean business (even though I think the man is doing as good a job as he can with the plate he was handed)

That’s why very soon, I will have a petition set up on our Blogsite, that you may sign electronically and It will be sent off no later than October 1, 2010. I am expecting to have a lot of signatures (Our Goal Is 50,000) More would be wonderful, less would be unacceptable.

"I want this site to be a fun source for tips on dressing, party themes, dating ideas, etc. However, Perez Hilton basically has all this covered. What he isn’t doing, is fighting for rights. Why should he care at this point? He’s made his money, let him roll in it. I am happy that a minority has made it, I’m just not very happy that he forgot about us when he got there." - PocketGayGuy

The petition will be up soon, if you have any suggestions, or personal thoughts/feelings you would like to share, please leave comments. If we stay silent, no one will ever help. No one will ever care. And most of all nothing will ever change.

Use your voice, contact CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, (Even FOX!) reporters to air our stories. Contact your local state and Federal Government officials to let them know you are not taking this laying down anymore. You are ready for the change promised. And you were ready for it decades ago!

10 ITEMS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD OWN

TOP 10 ITEMS TO HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET THAT YOU CAN USE YEAR ROUND!

10. Multi-Colored Tank Tops. You can use them under low cut tops for the work place, and wear by itself when you are out on the town. A standard pack of tank tops you can purchase at any clothing department store.

9. A Simple Green Dress. The one pictured is Calvin Klein. Appropriate for company picnics & Social events. Perfect for summer outings & Dinner Parties. You could probably find this dress or one like it at Dress Barn, or any other “Designer Outlet” department store.

8. A Pair of Black Sling Back Heels. (NO PUMPS) It’s easy to avoid pumps by remembering this saying … “Pumps make me puke!” The Sling Backs pictured are Jimmy Choo but you can get designer shoes at Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx, or Any other “Designer Outlet” Department Store.

7. Black Handbag. I can’t stress enough ladies, if you don’t have black in your closet somewhere, or at least one black purse… GET SOME black clothing and accessories; right now! Black is sliming, it goes with everything, and it’s appropriate for almost all social events, year round. The one pictured is Gucci and it’s going to be fairly pricey. I suggest looking online at Amazon, or Ebay. You might luck up and find a Gucci bag in an outlet mall as well.

6. Khaki pants. Different shades if possible. Light to Dark. (never wear Khaki pants with a white top, it’s so incredibly tacky) The Khaki pants shown are not designer and can be purchased at any clothing department store.

5. Black Dress Pants. Hip huggers are appropriate as long as you aren’t showing your thong. You know how tacky guys look when they sag? Same concept. You can purchase at any mall, or clothing department store. The ones pictured are not designer.

4. Pencil Skirt (Once again, preferably black) but plaid, and other neutral colors are acceptable. Always classy, in style, with professional flair. Goes with most any top. The one pictured is not designer. You can purchase pencil skirts in any clothing department store year round.

3. Lace Peasant Top. This is another item that looks just as great in the professional work environment as it does with a pair of jeans at the club. Not designer, however, you will probably find more styles like the one pictured at Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx, or shopping mall.

2. White Cashmere Button up. It is light enough to let your skin breath spring in fall, perfect accessory for that little black dress, and helps cover up a top that may be “too revealing” for the work place. This is a piece I recommend for ANY woman’s closet. It truly is a piece that can bring any outfit together. Muli-colors are wonderful, but a simple black or white one is necessary!

1. Little Black Dress. You can’t go wrong. Club, Picnic, Social Events, Birthday Party, or in the work place. This is the biggest Necessity for a ladies closet.

To Plan A Fabulous Dinner Party *

So You Are Planning A Fabulous Dinner Party?

One Of The Biggest Mistakes People Make When Planning For A Dinner Party Is Trying To Keep Things Too Small Scale. Too Many Side Dishes And No Main Course! This Is A Dinner Party So Dinner Is Crucial.
The Most Important Part Of The Dinner Party However, Isn’t The Food At All. It Is Your Theme.

Pick One, And Stay With It. You See, Your Theme Will Set The Mood For The Entire Evening. From What Is Worn To What Is Served. To Me, A Dinner Party Without A Theme Is Just Dinner At A Friends.

The Beauty Of Having A Theme For Your Dinner Party Is You Get The Opportunity To Really Get All Of Your Guests Involved. Dress Up, 50s theme, etc… guest may bring dishes based on your theme. etc

Host Or Hostess Must Be In “Theme Character” (i.e. If You Are Doing A 50s Theme, Dress In A Poodle Skirt Or Like A Greaser) If The Host Isn’t Involved, The Guests Are Going To Be Less Inclined To Participate As Well!

So You’ve Picked A Theme? Now It’s Time For Invitations Which You May Choose To Purchase, Or Create Yourself. If You Are Like Me, E-Vites (Invitations Sent Via Email) Are The Best Way To Go. Saves Trees, And Saves You The Postage! I Can Name A Few Websites That You Can Create Your E-Vites At For Absolutely Free!! Any Of The Following Sites Would Be A Tremendous Help To Anyone Planning to use E-vites:

http://www.evite.com/party/invitations/
http://invitationland.com
www.mypunchbowl.com/

These Are Just A Few Of The Many E-vite sites. If You Don’t Find Anything You Like On These Web Sites, Don’t Get Discouraged. Keep Searching Google, You’ll Find Something Out There Perfect For Your Party.

With A Theme Picked Out And The Invitations On The Printer, Now It's Time To Plan The Menu. Also Base Your Menu Upon Your Theme. (I.E. If You Are Doing A 70's Theme, Make Humming Bird Cake, Pasta Primavera, Wacky Cake, Watergate Salad, Or Watergate Cake. "Tye Dye" Cupcakes Are A Smash For 70's Themed Parties As Well. For A Mardi Gras Style Party Turn Your Kitchen Into New Orleans By Preparing Cajun Style Shrimp, Gumbo, Slaw, King Cake, and Dirty Cajun Rice.)

By Letting Friends Know About Your Theme Ahead Of Time, You Can Do "Pot Luck" Where Everyone Can Bring Their Favorite Dish Based On Your Theme. (NEVER EVER DO THIS FOR A BUSINESS LUNCHEON. IT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) Especially When Trying To Impress A Potential New Client. Dinner Parties Are Geared More Towards Friends And Close Acquaintances For Fun Times, & Special Memories.
