Whitney Houston I Will Always Love You

On Saturday, February 11, 2012 just one night before the Grammy's music legend Whitney Houston was found dead. The Superstar was lying face down in her bathtub in Los Angeles, CA at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in room 434.

Her funeral service was held in Newark, NJ at New Hope Baptist Church Saturday, February 18, 2012. Amoung those in attendance: Singers Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Brandy, Alecia Keys, Bobby Brown (Houston's ex husband), and actor Kevin Costner as well as many others.

Whitney was a pop icon in the 80s releasing hits such as: "Saving all my love for you", "I wanna dance with somebody" and "So Emotional". In the 90s she began her career in films like "Waiting to exhale", and "The Body Guard" where she met Kevin Costner and released her biggest music single to date. A remake of Dolly Partons "I will always love you".
Whitney continued singing in the 90s and until her death this year. She had a film set to debut playing a mother to three daughters all aspiring to become singers. The film called "Sparkle" would have had 2007 American Idol winner Jordin Sparks portraying one of Houstons on screen daughters.
The actress admitted to having a problem with drugs such as marijuana, crack, & cocaine that she said began sometime around the filming of "The Body Guard" in 1995. Whitneys ex husband Bobby Brown was also said to use the same drugs, and the couple would often have heated arguements under the influence.

There has been no word yet on the cause of death, Houstons Autopsy results will not be in for several months according to most media outlets.

Whitney Houston was an icon to the world and very special to me.Her music is uplifting and the world has lost a gift in Whitney Houston. Her voice, her larger than life personality, there is no imitation for her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
